GDPR

Last updated: November 7, 2026

This page explains privacy rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where it applies to ER Meals’ processing of personal information.

Please read this page together with our Privacy Policy, which describes website information, service providers, and contact details.

1. Information and Website Features

Information handled through ER Meals may include email enquiries, newsletter subscription details, submitted comments, and technical website records, depending on which features are enabled and used.

These activities support communication with readers, website operation, security, and understanding interest in our recipes.

2. Grounds for Processing

Where the GDPR applies, each processing activity needs an appropriate legal basis. Depending on the activity, this may include consent, legitimate interests assessed against your rights, a legal obligation, or steps necessary for a requested service or contract.

Consent for one purpose does not automatically authorize another purpose.

3. Newsletter, Analytics, and Advertising

If you subscribe to an ER Meals newsletter, you can unsubscribe through the link included in the messages.

Google Analytics and Google AdSense may be used when enabled. Where prior consent is required, optional tracking must remain inactive until you make that choice. Simply viewing a page does not indicate consent.

Browser cookie controls can help you manage stored cookies, but they do not replace any consent choices required on the website.

4. Your Rights

Where the GDPR applies, and subject to its conditions and exceptions, you may:

  • Access: Ask whether your data is processed and request a copy.
  • Correction: Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected.
  • Deletion: Request erasure where the conditions are met.
  • Restriction: Request limits on processing in certain cases.
  • Portability: Obtain eligible data in a reusable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to direct marketing.
  • Withdrawal: Withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
  • Complaint: Contact a competent data protection authority.

5. Making a Request

Email hello@ermeals.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and explain what you would like us to do.

Include enough information to identify the relevant interaction, such as the email address you used to contact us. Please do not send identity documents unless we specifically request necessary verification.

Requests will be handled within the time limits required by applicable law.

6. Storage, Providers, and Transfers

Hosting and email services help ER Meals operate. Information may be processed outside your country. Details of known providers are included in our Privacy Policy.

Where GDPR restrictions on international transfers apply, those transfers require an appropriate lawful mechanism.

Information should be retained only for the purposes for which it is needed, including applicable legal obligations. Security measures reduce risk, but cannot eliminate it entirely.

7. Updates and Contact

This page may be revised as website features and information practices change.
